Taylor Swift Exhibit at MAD Until September 4, 2023

Taylor Swift’s career-spanning costume exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York is a must-see display for her fans and admirers. The preview of the exhibition on May 18, which was attended by MAD Director Tim Rodgers and Board Chair Michele Cohen, along with their guests, provided an exclusive opportunity to experience the exhibition before it opened to the public on May 20.

Among the notable attendees were Susan and Larry Ach, Loreen Arbus, Christiana Baroni, Marian Burke, Patti and Michael Dweck, Alexander Hankin, Marsy Mittlemann, and Netta Rosin. The presence of MAD curators Elissa Auther, Barbara Paris Gifford, and Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy added further expertise and insight to the event.

With television cameras capturing the scene, the gallery buzzed with excitement, and was filled with Taylor Swift’s iconic costumes and sounds of her music. It’s a wonderful opportunity for fans and visitors to delve into the creative evolution of Taylor Swift’s career through the lens of her unique and memorable stage outfits.

“Taylor Swift: Storyteller” is a comprehensive exhibition that celebrates the artistic transformations of Taylor Swift, a 12-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist renowned for her prolific songwriting. The exhibition showcases stage costumes representing various eras of her career, ranging from the cheerleader and ballerina ensembles featured in the award-winning music video for “Shake It Off” (2014) to the dazzling ensemble from “Bejeweled” (2022).

The exhibition includes concert attire designed by esteemed couture fashion houses such as Cavalli, Gucci, Louboutin, Versace, YSL, and more. In addition to the costumes, visitors can explore props, jewelry, ephemera, and projections of Taylor Swift’s iconic music videos, providing a multi-dimensional experience of her creative course.
