Southampton Inn’s envious location was the place to enjoy the sunshine this Memorial Day 2016. On Sunday, May 29th, 2016, Southampton Inn hosted its annual Memorial Day BBQ on its beautifully planted and lit European courtyard, featuring dishes from the Inn’s new restaurant Café Klyde, including signature burgers, sweet treats and margaritas. The Inn also offered gift bags filled with this summer’s bestselling beach books and other goodies fromHamptonGiftBag.com, a division of Madison & Mulholland, to Memorial weekend hotel guests. Over 100 guests attended the event.

At Southampton Inn, guests can make the most of the acres of lawn space that appeals to many interests. The private gardens are ideal for reading or quiet contemplation, while the all-weather tennis court, heated 50-foot swimming pool, shuffleboard court, Ping Pong table or green spaces for croquet, volleyball, or badminton will appeal to athletes of all ability levels.

With an on-site, well-stocked game room, the Southampton Inn is welcoming to families and guests of all ages. Pets are also welcome (for an additional fee) in one of the Inn’s specially designated pet-friendly guest rooms. At the end of the day, guests can retire to their well-appointed guestrooms that include Tempur-Pedic mattresses, upscale linens, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, and flat-screen televisions with more than 100 channels.

Another exciting update this year is Southampton Inn’s new in-house restaurant Café Klyde, headed up by Chef Scott Andriani, which will stay open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the season. Southampton Inn will continue to serve up Dan’s Paper’s “Best of the Best” Breakfast at Café Klyde restaurant. Café Klyde is open for lunch daily, offering delectable seasonal dishes such as the Gin Cured Salmon Sashimi, Braised Spring Lamb Meatballs and Klyde’s “open faced” Lobster Roll.

Café Klyde serves up dinner specials such as the Locally Caught Grilled Bass served with cous cous, olives, roasted tomato, black kale and lemon; a signature Hampton Clam Chowder; and the fresh Summer Salad, featuring local leaves, strawberries, feta cheese and shaved whole wheat. Pair with draft beers, a selection of wines, or signature drinks such as the Southampton Mojito Float. For those with a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Flourless Mini Cake with Fresh Raspberries and the Strawberry Trifle are not to be missed. The restaurant’s club-casual décor creates a relaxing, non-pretentious atmosphere where guests can enjoy a true Hamptons dining experience with style and ease. Café Klyde will also offer catering to serve all kinds of corporate functions, retreats, cocktail parties, luncheons, rehearsal dinners, weddings and more! The catering service pulls from the classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.

Launched in 2016, Café Klyde restaurant will continue to offer “Best of the Best” breakfast, as well as lunch, dinner, and a bar menu all year long. Focusing on locally sourced ingredients and freshly picked vegetables and herbs from the Inn’s very own garden, Café Klyde specializes in modern salads, classic sandwiches, inventive small plates, and gourmet burgers and inventive entrees at dinner. Classic, comfortable and complemented by excellent service, Café Klyde blends Hampton’s hospitality with European elegance with al fresco dining in the beautifully planted courtyard or inside the intimate dining room.
