(NEW YORK, NY – November 10, 2016) — Palm Beach Show Group’s CEO Scott Diament welcomed over 2,000 guests to the New York Art Antique & Jewelry Show at its new location of Pier 94 on Wednesday, November 9th.
The evening kicked off with a private cocktail party hosted by Sharon Bush that toasted her daughter Lauren Bush Lauren and her FEED Foundation. Diament gave Bush Lauren a check for $10,000 that will provide over 90,000 meals to hungry children, and thanked guests, including his business partner Robert Samuels and the British Antique Dealers Association (BADA) who he was welcoming to their inaugural year at the Show.
Ellie Cullman and Richard Steinberg then welcomed designers and dignitaries as they hosted the VIP Preview Party, where guests including Frederick Anderson, Robin Cofer, Audrey Gruss, Virginia Pitman and Jean Shafiroff perused the treasures while enjoying cocktails and canapes.
Some of the country’s leading designers including Geoffrey Bradfield and Danielle Chiel were on hand to check out the more than a billion-dollars’ worth of collectibles from exhibitors from around the world.
Art lovers, collectors, curators and some of New York City’s most esteemed tastemakers, including Michael Arguello, Paola Bacchini, Edgar Batista, Elena Beloff, Janna Bullock, Patricia Burnham Brock, William Brock, Liliana Cavendish, Dominick D’Alleva, Max Fishkl, Tristan Govignon, Julia Hayek, Roy Kean, Margo Langenberg, Jason Lyon, Anne-Laure Marchal, Bridgette Morphew, Nicole Noonan, Peter Rosenthal, Amy Rosi, Barbara and Donald Tober, Monica Webster, Kirat Young all descended flocked to the must-shop event.
A stunning selection of high-quality treasures from ancient antiquities, through 21st century contemporary art, including furniture, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, silver, art, glass, enamels, photography, porcelain, pottery, rare books and manuscripts, rugs and tapestries, jewelry and more were on display and available for purchase.
World-renowned exhibitors including Guarisco Gallery, Jeff R. Bridgman Antiques, Masterworks Fine Art, Macklowe Gallery, M.S. Rau Antiques, Ophir Gallery, Pat Saling, Rehs Galleries, Sabbadini, Sandra Cronan, Sylvia Powell Decorative Arts, and Willow Galleries filled aisle after aisle with one-of-a-kind offerings. More than 30,000 items at the show spanned every genre, juxtaposing many periods and movements. Visitors had the opportunity to view and purchase fine art from across a broad spectrum of Old Masters, German Expressionist, 18th and 19th Century European, American Regionalist, Modern and Contemporary artists.
A new addition to the show was the Contemporary Spotlight, where guests enjoyed a curated section showcasing an exciting multidisciplinary selection of post- war and contemporary art, objects, and design from exhibitors includingArt Link International, Gallery Koo, Villa Del Arte Gallery and The Mcloughlin Gallery.
