Pace Gallery Launched Eight-Story Flagship in Chelsea With Performance by The Who

New York, September, 13, 2019 — Pace Gallery launched its new flagship in Chelsea with a spectacular
celebration. Legendary rock band The Who performed a rare acoustic set on the sixth-floor terrace in front of
A-list guests, which included a historic roster of Pace artists.

DJ Questlove kicked off the night by spinning on the terrace. At 9 PM, The Who performed a set of iconic songs,
including “The Kids Are Alright” and “Pinball Wizard.” To round out the night, Graham Reynolds’ band performed
under Fred Wilson’s chandeliers on the 7th floor.

VIPs experienced the unveiling of incredible exhibitions by Alexander Calder (1st floor), Yto Barrada (1st floor), Loie
Hollowell (2nd floor), David Hockney (3rd floor), Peter Hujar (3rd floor), and Fred Wilson (7th floor).
Marc Glimcher (CEO of Pace) & Fairfax Dorn, Arne Glimcher (the founder of Pace) & Milly Glimcher celebrated
Pace’s new flagship, designed by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, at 540 West 25th Street. The night both ushered
Pace into its next chapter and underscored its incredible legacy as a haven for some of the most significant artists
of the 20th- and 21st-centuries. Next year, Pace celebrates its 60th anniversary. The building opens to the public
on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
