NYC Socialite Queen Relinquishes Her Palace

Date:

The full-floored apartment on the fifth floor of 1020 Fifth Avenue , facing the Metropolitan Museum, has been home to socialite and philanthropist Georgette Mosbacher for the past 25 years. But now I guess it’s time to say goodbye, because Georgette just listed her apartment for a cool 30 million, according to the New York Times.

The apartment boasts  close to 5,000 square footage and is full of eloquent architectural design. When Georgette Mosbacher first moved in, she gave the place a full renovation but wanted to keep its original beauty by preserving and restoring nuances like the grand salon’s painted coat of arms, three wood-burning fireplaces, hardwood floors, and embellished doors.  With 20-foot ceilings, this apartment is truly fit for a queen and a host of large personalities.

Over the years, Mosbacher has opened her home to the world’s elite  during lavish parties,  fundraisers and dinner parties. But WHO is Georgette Mosbacher? She is a woman with a very lengthy and diversified resume including business executive, entrepreneur, political activist, author,  philanthropist, and socialite. She is the definition of an empowering woman.

Feminine force is that inner strength, that power, that will to face down any negative circumstances in life and defeat them.

– Georgette Mosbacher
