Galerie Gmurzynska Hosts Dinner Honoring Photographer Jean Pigozzi’s New Photo Series, Charles and Saatchi: The Dogs

Isabelle Bscher, Krystyna Gmurzynska and Mathias Rastorfer of Galerie Gmurzynska hosted a reception to honor famed photographer Jean Pigozzi’s new series Charles and Saatchi: The Dogs on Wednesday December 6th at the Faena Penthouse in Miami Beach.

The glamourous evening drew friends, collectors and celebrities, who joined the Gmurzynska family to celebrate the new photo series and the opening of Art Basel Miami. Welcoming more than 200 guests, everyone was treated to a selection of performers, stunning terrace views of Miami Beach and one-on-one time with “The King of the Selfie”, Jean Pigozzi.

Those in attendance included Paris Hilton, Chris Zylka, Fernando Sulichin, Nellee Hooper, Renee Rockefeller, Vanessa and Christina Getty, Maria Baibakova, Debra Black, Anna-Sophie Deneve, Christopher Makos, Paul Solberg, Fabian and Martina Basabe Judd Tully, Victoire Brown, Mira Teller, Whitney Sulder-Smith, Nicolas Berggruen, Gigi Mortimer, Dori Cooperman, Anita Ko, Janna Bullock and Bridgette Morphew.

At Art Basel Galerie Gmurzynska is presenting Jean Pigozzi’s new photo series, Charles and Saatchi: The Dogs at Booth B1, which will be accompanied by a newly released book by Damiani about this series with text by Charles Saatchi and co-published with the Gmurzynska family. The booth will also feature mostly unseen classic modern work by Wifredo Lam and Roberto Matta, alongside major Pop-art luminaries like Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Indiana. They will also showcase a selection of modern masters including Joan Miró, Fernand Léger, Yves Klein and Louise Nevelson.
