“More than 21 veterans take their own lives every day because of combat-related PTSD,” said Mr. Axelowitz, who also serves as the DLF board vice chair. “Research has shown that Transcendental Meditation is a highly effective technique to help any veterans heal their trauma from within. Tonight, we are launching a national initiative, in partnership with VA hospitals throughout the country, to bring Transcendental Meditation to every veteran in America who wants to learn to meditate.”
David Lynch Foundation is a nonprofit organization addresses the epidemic of trauma and toxic stress among at-risk populations through the implementation of the stress-reducing, evidence-based Transcendental Meditation technique.
