You might think that pre-thanksgiving is too early for a holiday party but folks, I’m here to assure you it is definitely not TOO early.
I headed over to west Chelsea on November 18th for Riverside Abstract’s annual holiday party.
After being told that it would probably be the best holiday party of the season, how could I resist? This year the event was held at Art Beam, a huge event space that you can basically build into anything you want. Let’s just say I was not disappointed when I left.
Riverside Abstract is a real estate title insurance company that also deals with 1031 exchange. For those of you not in the real estate world, anytime you buy a piece of real estate you need to get title insurance. It’s insurance that protects you from loss just in case there is damage in the title you didn’t know about. Say you are buying a house and you find out a year after you move in that the previous owner had liens on the house or that they didn’t even actually own it (!).. title insurance protects you against those liens or other issues that could pop up.
So back to the party! Despite the day of the party being a little dreary and rainy, the house was still packed, I think the final tally of people was around 1,500 people.. that’s a lot of holiday guests! I arrived pretty close to the beginning of the party and was immediately greeted with champagne and an amazingly tasty bite of filet mignon, seriously, it was verry YUM. Right away I knew this was going to be a great party, great music, great food, lots of drinks and a packed house.. what more could you ask for? The event was attended by some of the biggest names in the real estate world including Hiten Samtani, Yoav Barilan and Junaid Zahid of The Real Deal as well as David Schwartz of Slate Property Group and Jake Phipps of Phipps & Co. The hosts of the party Yoel Zagelbaum, President of Riverside Abstract, and CEO Shaul Greenwald were often seen greeting guests at the door with a warm welcome.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and my god the buffet was basically a city block long and filled with scrumptious bites of food including duck confit, pulled beef tacos, a wild array of fresh sushi and sashimi -plus carving stations serving rack of rib, smoked brisket and much more.. The line to the premium open bar was never too long and I overheard many of the guests praising the ownership at Riverside Abstract. If I ever buy a house I would feel very confident in using their services. If their party throwing abilities are equal to their actual business services you’ll be in good hands.
Overall I would say the party was a great success, here’s to hoping I get an invite to next year’s party!
